Nice Moments With Mayflower Distributing

Offering competitive benefits is a great way to keep employees happy, attract new talent, and stay ahead in an ever-changing global landscape. That’s why Mayflower Distributing prioritizes employee satisfaction above all else. And since they’re always looking for more and better ways to address employees’ needs, offering quality, convenient, and comprehensive virtual and in-home healthcare to their workforce at no out-of-pocket cost was a no-brainer.

Read on to learn how Mayflower created a supportive company culture that fosters open communication and keeps employees happy, healthy, and in-the-know–due in part to adding Nice Healthcare to their benefits package.

Why did you choose to work with Nice Healthcare? What made Nice Healthcare stand out?

Mayflower Distributing is always on the lookout for innovative and effective solutions for our workforce. Right out of the gate, we could tell that Nice Healthcare would be an excellent benefit to provide to our employees. What stood out was the concept of virtual, in-home service right at one’s fingertips. There are services like this that are readily available to consumers in today’s complex healthcare marketplace, which made offering something like Nice to our employees–at no cost to them–a no brainer.

How do you see your benefits package in five years?

A lot can change in five years, but we hope to have a benefits package that is not only comprehensive, but also competitive. In an ever-changing world and a business landscape that is continually evolving, companies must strive to offer a benefits package that contains “the works,” with quality healthcare often at the forefront of the list. Healthcare benefits have quickly evolved into a recruitment tactic. Now, more than ever, employees place considerable emphasis on the benefits derived from their high deductible health plans. This is especially true after having gone through a global pandemic for the past two years where people around the world have faced considerable hardship, physically, emotionally, and financially.

How do you keep your employees happy and healthy?

Some of the best methods to keep employees happy and healthy include taking their needs seriously and gathering feedback when something might be lacking from your current benefits package. It is important to listen to any concerns or suggestions employees have. Ultimately, creating a culture that is built upon communication and fosters open discussion is key when it comes to employee relations and benefits management. We want our workforce to know that we hear them, and what they share makes a difference.

What makes a virtual healthcare benefit stand out?

Because the phenomenon of virtual healthcare is something that is relatively new, the benefit itself is extremely valuable. People can now access a multitude of healthcare services from the comfort of their own homes. Not only does this eliminate the need to travel to the nearest healthcare facility, but it also simplifies a consumer’s entire experience. In an increasingly virtual world, virtual healthcare is likely on the cusp of widespread expansion as the human population continues to develop a preference for digitalized product and service offerings.

What has been a highlight about working with Nice?
